Ryan E. Mohr concentrates his practice in commercial and environmental law. Mr. Mohr’s practice involves a variety of litigation and regulatory compliance issues. Mr. Mohr serves corporate clients in the areas of environmental compliance and litigation. He also defends corporate clients against product liability and toxic tort claims. Mr. Mohr has also advised senior corporate attorneys and executives regarding general compliance and litigation issues arising from state and federal environmental regulations and enforcement actions. Mr. Mohr has represented manufacturers of petroleum products, chemical and intermediates, automotive parts, and timber and agricultural products.

Representative matters in which Mr. Mohr has assisted clients include:

  • Responding to and defending against violations issued by state and federal agencies;
  • Environmental due-diligence inquiries associated with acquisitions;
  • Various environmental permitting including construction, Title V and NPDES permits;
  • Review and preparation of annual and semi-annual reports;
  • Cost recovery for environmental remediation activities;
  • Responding to information requests initiated by state and federal agencies;
  • Review of commercial leases, site access and confidentiality agreements; and
  • Development of compliance program for the Vessel General Permit.

Mr. Mohr earned a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1999 and a Master of Science (cum laude) in Environmental Science, with a focus on technology and assessment, from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in 2003. Mr. Mohr was awarded his Juris Doctor degree from Saint Louis University in 2005 and was the recipient of an academic excellence award in comparative law studies.

Prior to law school, Mr. Mohr worked as an environmental engineer and handled a variety of corporate compliance issues. His work in this area primarily focused on land and water issues as well as waste management and minimization.

Mr. Mohr is admitted to practice in Illinois and Missouri as well as the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois and the Eastern District of Missouri.
