TITLE:Partner
NOTE;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Mr. Fox is a managing member and co-founder of Fox Galvin, L.L.C. and has de=
fended hundreds of product liability, medical malpractice, and personal inju=
ry cases. In his nearly twenty years of practice, he has successfully repres=
ented hospitals, doctors, manufacturers of consumer products and heavy equip=
ment, maritime operators, and trucking companies in state and federal courts=
of Missouri and Illinois. =0D=0AFor example, he represented a hospital sued=
by the family of a woman who suffered an undiagnosed dissecting aortic aneu=
rysm. After being admitted through the emergency department, she died twelve=
hours later but before being seen by her attending physician. After a three=
week trial to a Madison County, Illinois jury, Mr. Fox obtained a defense v=
erdict for his client.=0D=0AIn St. Louis Federal Court, Mr. Fox represented =
a Fortune 50 corporation sued by a woman who lost her leg when the company=
=92s tractor trailer crushed the mini van in which she was a passenger. Reco=
gnizing liability was certain, Mr. Fox admitted negligence and defended the =
case on damages only. Using an elaborate medical theory with numerous expert=
s, Mr. Fox convinced the jury the plaintiff=92s leg would have been lost in =
any event due to a knee infection stemming from her total knee replacement s=
ix months before the trucking accident. The jury awarded plaintiff only her =
emergency medical bills of $8,100.00.=0D=0AIn the city of St. Louis, Mr. Fox=
defended the Japanese manufacturer of a Kerosene heater which allegedly cau=
sed a home fire. A three year old girl suffered massive burns over 90% of he=
r body, including the loss of all fingers and toes. Despite being the target=
of the plaintiff=92s case throughout three years of discovery, the plaintif=
f=92s attorney changed and adopted Mr. Fox=92s theory two weeks into the tri=
al. Plaintiff then settled with Mr. Fox=92s client during trial for a very s=
mall fraction of the $25 million verdict rendered four weeks later at the co=
nclusion of the case.=0D=0AMr. Fox has also successfully tried many Jones Ac=
t cases for his river and maritime clientele. One defense verdict based upon=
an Act of God defense asserted by Mr. Fox was published on the front page o=
f the Missouri Lawyer Weekly.=0D=0AMr. Fox received his undergraduate degree=
, magna cum laude, from Washington University in 1978 and his law degree fro=
m St. Louis University in 1981 where he was honored as the Outstanding Oral =
Advocate in Moot Court. In 1982, he served as law clerk to the Honorable Jud=
ge Andrew J. Higgins of the Missouri Supreme Court. Licensed to practice in =
Missouri and Illinois, Mr. Fox has published numerous articles and been a sp=
eaker on various legal topics, including trial tactics, products liability a=
nd cross examination of experts. He is admitted to practice before the Unite=
d States Courts of Appeals for the Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Circuits. He i=
s a Proctor Member of the Maritime Law Association.
