You can tell a lot about a lawyer by his clients.
When the judges of the Circuit Court for the City of St. Louis needed a lawyer, they hired John to represent them in a case that went up to the Missouri Supreme Court. When the governor of Illinois got sued in St. Clair County, John got the call.
Oil companies sued on environmental matters, pharmaceutical firms with thousands of cases, class action defendants, manufacturers of products from automobiles to tractors to mouthwash, trucking companies, owners of ice cream franchises…all have turned to John when they needed help.
John has tried cases in a variety of courts, with a winning percentage over 90%, but is most proud of creative solutions that have helped clients get out of litigation without going through the time, expense and risk of trial. He has been lead, liaison and trial counsel in Multi District Litigation matters, and served as national settlement counsel bringing together over 10,000 claimants to resolve commercial cases valued in excess of $1 billion.
Outside of the courtroom, John and his wife Suzanne are founder of a charitable organization dedicated to helping children at risk. They have sponsored projects for education, medical, clean water and vocational training both here and abroad. John’s ministry work has taken him to places like Kenya, Lebanon, Iraq and Haiti. For ten years, he volunteered in disaster-relief, responding to man-made and natural disasters around the world.
